Participation in the international programme ‘Explore THE Start-up LÄND!’ (Germany)
Kateryna Hnedina, coordinator of startup development, innovation and project-based learning, PhD, Associate Professor, took part in the international programme ‘Explore THE Start-up LÄND!’, aimed at introducing the innovation ecosystem of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg (Germany), one of the most powerful innovation regions in Europe.
Representatives of the startups selected for the programme attended a series of online sessions and learnt about the structure of the region’s innovation system, the activities of innovation hubs, and local startups.
The programme covered such issues as:
- – specifics of the German business environment;
- – legal aspects of doing business in Germany;
- – business culture and communication peculiarities;
- – opportunities for financing and support for start-ups;
- – exchange of experience with international entrepreneurs.
As part of the networking session, Kateryna Hnedina, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, shared the story of the creation and development of the ‘Insulin without queues’ start-up and the challenges faced by innovators in their start-up activities.
