Participation in the final events of the Erasmus+ PROMENT project in Lviv

In the last week of January 2026, representatives of the project team of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University took an active part in the final events of the international project consortium PROMENT — the (3rd Steering Committee Meeting) and the National Gala Conference on the results of the Erasmus+ KA2 PROMENT project, which took place in Lviv with the participation of partners from Ukraine, Georgia and Poland. Representatives of the University of Aveiro (Portugal), the University of Perugia (Italy) and the Vienna University of Technology (Austria) were able to participate in the Steering Committee Meeting online.

During the Steering Committee meeting, the results of the three-year project implementation were summarised, the results of the work packages were presented, and the final steps to ensure the sustainability of the developed solutions were discussed. Based on the results of an external evaluation, the Tutoring and Mentoring Centre of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University received a Quality certificate confirming that the Centre’s activities comply with European standards in the field of tutoring and mentoring.

During the grand opening of the National Gala Conference on the results of the PROMENT project, representatives of the management of higher education institutions, state authorities and European programmes addressed the participants with welcoming remarks. In particular, participants were welcomed by the rector of the Lviv Polytechnic National University Nataliia Shakhovska, the rector of the Dnipro University of Technology Oleksandr Aziukovskyi, the general director of the Directorate of Pre-Higher and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Oleh Sharov, the head of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine Svitlana Shytikova, Chief Researcher at the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Olena Orzhel, and PROMENT Project Coordinator Oleh Matviikiv. In their speeches, they noted the important role of the PROMENT project in the development of a comprehensive tutoring and mentoring system in universities, its significant contribution to improving the quality of higher education, and the importance of ensuring the sustainability of the results achieved.

During the Gala Conference, representatives of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University presented the results of the project implementation and their own practical experience. In particular, the university presented reports on “Piloting mentoring and tutoring programmes in institutions in Ukraine: results and lessons from PROMENT” (Liudmyla Remnova) and “PROMENT in action: best practices for piloting mentoring programmes at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University” (Volodymyr Bazylevych, Alla Nitchenko, Liudmyla Remnova). Alla Kholodnytska, Head of the Tutoring and Mentoring Centre at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, joined the Gala Conference online.

On the second day of the Gala Conference, four panel discussions were held, where participants from various universities and business partners shared their views on the main results and challenges of the second piloting of tutoring and mentoring programmes. In particular, Nataliia Kholiavko took an active part in the panel discussion “The practice of mentoring in institutions: from idea to actual implementation,” while Alla Nitchenko shared her experience of implementing tutoring at the university during the panel discussion “Tutoring as an effective form of adaptation and support for students: best practices of regional universities” (moderator – Liudmyla Remnova), Maksym Zabashtanskyi and Kateryna Hnedina represented our university at the panel discussion “The role of business, public and civil sectors in mentoring and tutoring”, while Volodymyr Bazylevych joined the discussion of pressing issues of digital mentoring in the panel discussion “Digital technologies in mentoring and tutoring: opportunities and challenges.”

During the Gala Conference, the institutional coordinator of the project from the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University Liudmyla Remnova received thanks for the university’s active participation in the implementation of the Erasmus+ PROMENT project and its significant contribution to the development of tutoring and mentoring programmes and inter-university cooperation. This recognition is an important result of the systematic work of the university team and confirmation of the active role of Chernihiv Polytechnic in shaping a modern tutoring and mentoring ecosystem, taking into account the best European and domestic experience.
