Opening of “University – City” Collaboration Centers
On July 4, 2024, university-city collaboration centers created thanks to the Erasmus+ international project UniCities were officially opened.
The event was started by Volodymyr Kazymyr, project manager, Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.
The welcome was delivered by Olga Kordas, project coordinator, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden; Serhiy Shkarlet, Vice-Rector of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University; Natalia Lazarenko, Manager of international activities of Associations of Ukrainian cities; Oleksandr Los, Acting Head of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration.
A memorandum of collaboration between Chernihiv Polytechnic National University represented by the Rector Oleg Novomlynets and the Polissya Foundation for International and Regional Studies represented by the Chairman of the Foundation Maxim Koryavets was signed.
Each partner university (Higher Education Institution Academician Yuriy Bugay International Scientific and Technical University, National Technical University of Ukraine Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University) presented its university-city collaboration center. The University-city collaboration center “UNICITIES” of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University was presented by the Head of the center Zhanna Derii.
The collaboration centers will operate on the basis of collaboration with external stakeholders, in particular officials from state and local authorities, representatives of business.
The team of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University presented the web platform UniCities Collaboration Centers (UCC) hub, which will unite the centers of partner universities.
