On 3 November 2025, the Department of Welding and Construction Technologies hosted an online open lecture by Dr. Jose Castillo, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor at Centro Universitario Fundacao, San Andre, San Paulo (Brazil).

Students and teaching staff of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction attended the lecture:

and the Educational-Scientific Institute of Environmental Management and Humanities:

Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the diversity of modern arc processes, methods of their mechanisation and automation, taking into account the requirements for both individual and collective safety during work. Particular attention was paid to the importance of non-destructive methods of quality control and technical diagnostics of welded joints, as well as the role of the layout of welded structures in terms of the strength and reliability of welded joints.
