On October 21, 2021, the Military Unit 3082 of the National Guard of Ukraine held an Open Day for 1st and 2nd year students of the Law Faculty of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, who study under the educational program “Law Enforcement”.

The Deputy Commander of the Personnel Unit, Major Yevhen Panko, told the students about the peculiarities of serving in the National Guard of Ukraine and the tasks performed directly by the military unit.

“It is very important to acquaint modern youth with military affairs and in particular with service in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. After all, citizens meet with servicemen in the city constantly, during patrols or mass events, “said Major Yevhen Panko.

On the battlefield of the unit, the tourists were presented with training places in different directions. Combat training instructors demonstrated the weapons, special equipment and equipment used during the service. Specialists in tactical medicine conducted classes on first aid for students, where they showed how to tampon wounds and use a tourniquet for bleeding.

Students could also get acquainted with the military equipment involved in the performance of official duties and watch the performance of the dog service, where Jerry-Lee’s service dog demonstrated his dexterity and skills.
