On March 13-14, the “Bioeconomy Changemakers Festival” was held in the city of Brussels, organized by the European Commission in cooperation with the Bioeconomy Youth Embassies. The festival was accompanied by 30 independent side events in 18 EU countries between March 11 and 17.

As part of this festival, Professor Nataliya Tkalenko, Doctor of Economics, was invited as the head of the jury of the student project competition held on March 15 in the city of Brno, Czech Republic, under the patronage of the City Hall.

The festival was aimed at engaging young people as the driving force behind the transformative changes necessary in the face of the many challenges facing Europe today. The main goal was to unlock the potential of the bioeconomy to enable this transformation. In addition, the festival will help the European Commission gather opinions on the updated strategy and action plan in the field of bioeconomy.
