Mentoring session ‘SOFT SKILLS: your main card at the start of your career’
On 21 May, within the framework of the educational project ‘Professional Mentoring: First Steps to a Career’, Olena Filin, HR Manager at JEVERA/XME.digital. held a mentoring session on the topic ‘SOFT SKILLS: your main trump card at the start of your career’.
Participants learned about the importance of developing skills, their assessment and testing, and types of flexible skills. They also discussed the skills of active listening, communication, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and self-presentation.
The mentor shared practical advice to help students develop emotional intelligence and communication, as well as to present themselves effectively to employers.
The moderator of the mentoring session was Vladyslav Nosovets, coordinator of the Chernihiv IT Cluster.
The coordinator of the ‘Professional Mentoring’ scheme at the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University is Alla Kholodnytska, Head of the Tutoring and Mentoring Centre.
The event was held as part of the piloting of the ‘Professional Mentoring’ scheme under the Erasmus+ project CA2 PROMENT ‘Promoting Vocational Education and Active Participation of students through the Establishment of a Comprehensive Mentoring and Tutoring System in institutions’.
