Mentoring session on managing your own career

On 22 May, the final mentoring session of the educational project ‘Professional Mentoring: First Steps to a Career’ took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ PROMENT project.

The topic of the mentoring session: ‘Managing your own career on the example of HR’.

The participants of the event found out what a person’s potential consists of and conducted a self-assessment of their own potential, talked about personality types and values that determine the choice of a future profession and organisation, learned a lot of interesting information about building their own career, and did practical exercises.

Mentor Tatiana Mekshun (talent development and HR expert) helped the participants figure out how to find their niche in the profession, choose a company to work for, and create a realistic but ambitious personal development plan.

The moderator of the mentoring session was Vladyslav Nosovets, coordinator of the Chernihiv IT Cluster.

Alla Kholodnytska, Head of the Tutoring and Mentoring Centre, coordinated the Professional Mentoring scheme at the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

The event was held as part of the piloting of the Professional Mentoring scheme under the Erasmus+ project KA2 PROMENT ‘Promoting Vocational Education and Active Participation of students through the Establishment of a Comprehensive Mentoring and Tutoring System in Higher Education Institutions’.
