On December 23, 2021, a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic” took place in a mixed form (online and offline).

During his speech, the chairman of the Supervisory Board Viacheslav Chaus thanked the rector for the opportunity to return to the walls of his native university, which he graduated from in 1999, noting that he still remembers the spirit of the institution and all teachers who gave him knowledge. This is a good opportunity not only to see how the university is changing, but also to join its development. He stressed that the university is an advanced institution of higher education, has popular and important areas and specialties for the country. It is gratifying that the university joins international programs that provide experience and opportunities to use the acquired knowledge, to benefit their country. The conversation mentioned the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Chernihiv Regional State Administration – the construction of an ice arena. At present, measures have been taken on the land plot, design and estimate documentation has been developed. According to the preliminary agreement of the regional state administration and the administration – the first to have the opportunity to test the ice arena after the construction and launch of infrastructure – will be students. Speaking to the students, he stressed three main things that a nation cannot be successful without – education, health and independence. The Chairman also thanked all members of the Supervisory Board for the opportunity to participate in the development of the draft Work Plan of the Supervisory Board of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University for 2022-2025 and to participate in the meeting.

Rector of the University Oleh Novomlynets gave a short presentation on the structure, quantitative indicators, financial and economic, scientific, international activities, prospects and main directions. He focused on problem areas and opportunities for shared development. In memory of Viacheslav Chaus, a student’s record book was presented during his years of study.

After the meeting and approval of the Work Plan of the Supervisory Board of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University for 2022-2025, the participants were given a tour of the university.
