On 2–3 October 2025, Chernihiv Polytechnic National University hosted an international scientific and practical conference entitled ‘Free Software in Education, Science and Business (FOSS 2025)’. For security reasons, the event was held online. More than 100 participants took part in the conference. Some of the presentations will soon be available on the university’s YouTube channel.

The conference took place in a very positive and friendly atmosphere. Participants actively and eagerly joined in discussions and debates. Despite the power and internet outages, we managed to hold a truly international event that brought together the professional IT community, students, and the academic community around the ideas of open source software.

We would like to thank all the speakers, participants, and partners for their active participation and meaningful discussions. Special thanks to the technical teams and volunteers for supporting the online format.
