Implementation of the startup “Green Reconstruction of Ukraine” by the students of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University

On October 16, 2024, the team of the startup “Green Reconstruction of Ukraine” (Anastasia Soroka, specialty 051 Economics; Victoriia Bybyk, specialty 051 Economics; Alina Bilous, specialty 071 Accounting and Taxation; Serhii Mazur, IT consultant of the team, graduate of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University; Kateryna Hnedina, supervisor, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Taxation) organized and conducted a training on the basics of sustainable development and prospects for green reconstruction of Ukraine using innovative technologies and solutions. The first-year students of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, who want to gain knowledge in the field of sustainable development and launch their own initiatives to achieve the SDGs in the future, joined the event in a mixed format.

During the event, the participants deepened their understanding of the concept of sustainable development, learned about the role of startups and innovations in ensuring the achievement of global sustainable development goals, and offered their own vision of ways to ensure balanced and environmentally friendly development at the global level, as well as ways to rebuild Ukraine on the basis of sustainability.

The startup project “Green Rebuilding of Ukraine” is aimed at developing the skills of young people necessary for the green rebuilding of Ukraine and the formation of an environmentally conscious generation. The training was implemented with the support of the Center for Creation and Development of Startups at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University and is dedicated to the Day of Sustainable Development, which this year falls on October 23.
