The university family of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University honored the memory of the great Sun worshiper M. Kotsyubinsky. This year marks the 110th anniversary of the death of the talented impressionist.

In Chernihiv, the classicist lived the last 15 years of his less than 49-year-old life, wrote the most famous works. During the life of the writer, young writers gathered in his house, and it was this family that created a center of creative and cultural life here.

Mykhailo Mykhailovych Kotsyubinsky was not just a talented writer. He was one of those who shaped Ukrainian culture.

To honor the memory of a great compatriot, the university held a round table “Modern Ukrainian literature through the prism of Mykhailo Kotsyubynskyi’s novels”, which was attended by students and teachers of the university.

Kotsyubynskyi’s work serves as an artistic example for more than one generation of Ukrainian writers.
