On March 13, 2024, a guest lecture “Europe in a geopolitical dimension” was held at Chernihiv Polytechnic University.

The lecturer is S.V. Tolstov, a well-known researcher in Ukraine and abroad, head of the Department of Transatlantic Studies of the State Institution “Institute of World History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”.

In his speech, Serhii Valerianovych analyzed the process of the formation of Europe from ancient times to the present, characterized the features of the modern European project, gave a description of the current geopolitical situation, revealed the achievements and problems of European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

The lecture was attended by more than 100 listeners, among whom were students of the second year of the specialty “Philosophy” (OP “Analysis of socio-political processes”) studying the course “Globalism and Geopolitics”.

The lecture was organized by the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences.
