“From school to work: supporting young people with disabilities during the transition period”
On 17 December 2025, Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Social Work Olha Melnyk took part in a webinar on “From school to work: supporting young people with disabilities during the transition period”.
The event was held as part of the Programme for Support of Recovery and Reforms in Ukraine in the Field of Health Care and Social Policy for 2025–2027, which is being implemented with the assistance of the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden. During the webinar, participants discussed modern approaches to supporting young people with disabilities in the transition from education to employment, issues of cross-sectoral cooperation, the role of educational institutions in shaping an inclusive educational and professional environment, as well as international practices for supporting young people during this difficult period.
The knowledge gained and approaches developed are extremely relevant for the university, particularly in the context of developing inclusive education, social support for students, building partnerships, and implementing effective models for the transition of students with disabilities to the labour market.
The participation of university representatives in such events contributes to increasing institutional capacity, introducing modern European practices and strengthening the social responsibility of institutions.
