On 7 August 2025, a cooperation agreement was signed between the ‘Dobrochyn’ Social Welfare Centre NGO and Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

This document marks a new stage of cooperation between the region’s leading higher education institution and a public organisation, laying the foundation for a systematic partnership in scientific, educational, analytical and social activities.

What does the cooperation entail?

• · Holding joint scientific and practical events – conferences, round tables, trainings, schools and forums focused on the development of civic activism, public policy and social engineering;
• · Developing and publishing educational, methodological and analytical materials, including monographs, manuals, analytical reviews and strategic recommendations;
• · Involvement of experts from the NGO ‘Dobrochyn’ in the university’s educational process – guest lectures, practical classes and master classes on social transformations, human rights, civic participation and local development;
• · Participation in international academic and research programmes, implementation of grant initiatives and projects on topical social issues – from public participation to the development of youth leadership;
• · Organising professional internships and practical training for students of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University at NGO ‘Dobrochyn’, with the opportunity to implement their own initiatives and project activities in a real civil society environment;
• · Developing and implementing joint advocacy campaigns, educational initiatives, and public projects at the regional and national levels.

This partnership is an example of effective interaction between civil society and the academic community. It will not only improve the quality of the educational process, but also make it more open to social demands and challenges. Joint activities will contribute to the training of competent, proactive specialists capable of working for the benefit of communities and influencing social change.

The cooperation will also serve as a basis for expanding international ties, strengthening youth participation in decision-making processes, and implementing sustainable development values.
