Improving the quality of human resources, taking into account the requirements of employers: about the advantages of dual education – at the “Dialogue between Government and Business”

On December 6, during the regular meeting of the “Dialogue between Government and Business”, the experience of educational institutions of the Chernihiv region in implementing elements of the dual form of education and their cooperation with business in this direction was discussed. The event, which was held in a mixed format, was attended by about a hundred people, including representatives of educational institutions and entrepreneurs.

Tetyana Davydova, Head of the Department of Professional, Higher Education and Science of the Department of Education and Science of the Regional State Administration, reminded about the advantages of dual education.

Maksym Zabashtanskyi, Director of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Environmental Management and Humanities of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, joined the “Dialogue between Government and Business” meeting.

During the event, Mr Zabashtanskyi shared the university’s practical experience in integrating the dual form of education, which allows combining theoretical training with practical training of students at the enterprise level. He focused on the importance of cooperation between higher education institutions and business to train qualified specialists who meet the real needs of the labor market.

“The university actively involves our business partners in jointly shaping the educational trajectory of a particular specialty. We have formed the Employers’ Council and the Higher Education Quality Council, which allows us to hear from entrepreneurs and take into account their wishes and comments” says Maksym Zabashtanskyi.

It is important that such events take place regularly, as they create conditions for a constructive dialogue between education, business, and government, contribute to the exchange of experience, the search for effective solutions, and the formation of a joint development strategy. This not only helps to improve educational processes in accordance with the requirements of employers, but also ensures the training of specialists who meet the real needs of the labour market, which in turn contributes to the socio-economic development of the region.
