Chernihiv Polytechnic National University Strengthens International Partnership at the E3UDRES² Science Festival
From 13 to 17 October 2025, representatives of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University — Assoc. Prof. Lesia Pikun from the Department of Foreign Philology and Prof. Olena Zelenska, PhD in Economics, from the Department of Tourism — took part in an academic mobility programme within the framework of the E3UDRES² Science Festival held in Valmiera, Latvia.
During the festival, the researchers not only presented the results of their studies but also made a significant contribution to strengthening the university’s international cooperation, actively engaging with colleagues from various countries.
Within the festival activities, Lesia Pikun and Olena Zelenska established professional contacts and discussed prospects for joint projects with representatives of universities from Chile (Universidad Andrés Bello), Moldova (Technical University of Moldova), Georgia (Georgian American University), Egypt (Ain Shams University, Cairo), India (Central University of Karnataka, National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management), as well as with researchers from the Netherlands, Latvia, and Austria.
A special focus of the festival was on training young researchers. On 15 October 2025, Lesia Pikun participated in the Training for Master’s and Doctoral Research Supervisors — a workshop for academic supervisors of master’s and doctoral theses. The event was conducted by Prof. Dawn Kremslehner-Haas (St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, Austria) and Miriam Losse (Saxion University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands).
The participation of Chernihiv Polytechnic’s representatives in the festival highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration between philologists and tourism specialists, which opens new opportunities for developing international educational programmes, academic research, and joint initiatives.
This experience contributes to the further integration of Chernihiv Polytechnic into the European academic and scientific community, strengthens international partnerships, and enhances the quality of the university’s educational and research processes.
