Chernihiv Polytechnic National University was included in the High Scientific Potential category according to the Ukrainian National H-index Ranking 2024.

The National H-index Ranking is an international non-profit ranking that evaluates the scientific achievements of universities, scientific organisations and research institutions based on the consolidated Hirsch index in the databases and platforms of Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar. A group of scientists from the United States, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, the Netherlands, and Turkey is working on this project.

The compilers of the ranking analysed the research activities of 228 Ukrainian research organisations, and their positions are divided into three categories:

• – Scientific Potential Leaders – from 1 to 47 places – are the most influential research organisations in the country according to the total Hirsch index;
• – High Scientific Potential – 48th to 112th place – are the scientific institutions that are among the best in the country in terms of productivity;
• – Members Of The Ranking – from 113 to 228 places – all research organisations with low performance.
