SEDWU is an international project funded under the Erasmus+ Programme (Capacity Building in Higher Education), aimed at the development and implementation of a scalable, secure, and interoperable electronic document management system for universities.

The project seeks to enhance the efficiency of administrative processes, transparency, digital autonomy, and institutional resilience of Ukrainian higher education institutions, as well as to foster their integration into the European Education and Digital Area.

Special Focus Areas:

  • harmonisation of university administrative processes with European practices;
  • data protection and information security;
  • reduction of paper-based document workflows;
  • enhancement of digital competences of university staff;
  • application of innovative approaches, including AI-supported tools for document processing.

Project Objectives

Overall Objective:

To contribute to the digital transformation of Ukrainian universities by designing and piloting a modern electronic document workflow system that complies with European standards of efficiency, security, and interoperability.

Specific Objectives:

  • analysis and comparison of document management practices in Ukrainian and EU universities;
  • development of functional and technical requirements for a university electronic document workflow system;
  • implementation and testing of pilot solutions in partner institutions;
  • strengthening managerial and digital capacities of university staff.
